Recognition
Well, I’ve been thinking a good long time about how I can even begin to thank each of you for both your personal and collective contribution to June, Session 1, Camp Compassion. This camp was so flawless that the three days seemed to move faster than our individual Humane Ed-venture days have in the past.
To our new volunteers, Sarah, Melissa, Michelle and Jeff, welcome!!! It was a pleasure getting to know you and my deep appreciation to all, particularly those who stepped into leadership roles when circumstances warranted. We hope you will keep coming back as your schedules allow --- we genuinely appreciate you and know that camp NEVER would have had the impact that it did with our kiddo’s, without your generous contribution of time and talent ! To our veterans, Rebecca, Pam, Mia, Craig, Rose and Kristina, you guys continue to amaze me with your leadership, innovation and teamwork. You have my undying gratitude. AND --- since we have a few more interested parties who have just contacted me…everyone in this group, who returns, will be a veteran next time ‘round! ( :
Finally, a particular debt of gratitude to Sharon and Kathy (AND Pouly!) for their ongoing support of the HE program and for the amazing volunteer program they have crafted that brought each of you to Humane Ed and also for their individual contributions to our camp offerings. Also a salute to Kristina, who offered to take a leadership role as point person for this past camp session --- Kristina, your contribution was invaluable and I know we all appreciate your herding skills as you managed somehow to keep us on task! ( :
As you know --- this program is staffed by volunteers. There is no way on the planet that AHS could continue with this program without you. It would be impossible. Your contribution is not just one of time --- it is a contribution of the heart --- a contribution that you pass on to the hearts of the kids with whom you work. I am so grateful to each and every one of you and it is my privilege to stand alongside you as we bring forth this message SO essential to the development of kind and compassionate kids. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your incredible support.
